About Deborah

Who needs retirement when there are flowers to be grown!

Deborah Hanley has had a great many careers but through it all, flowers have always been in her heart. She started Flowerli in her own backyard as a gardening grandma and can not decide what she likes better- growing beautiful flowers or seeing others enjoy their beauty!

Deborah is a New York State licensed acupuncturist, with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. John’s University and Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from New York Health Professional College, a former Physical Therapy Assistant and the former owner of a tea shop in Huntington She has volunteered with child abuse and bully prevention programs throughout Long Island schools and served as president of the board of Child Abuse Prevention Services, a non-profit organization. As a long time passionate gardener, Deborah completed the Master Gardener program at Cornell Cooperative Extension and has enjoyed volunteering in the community sharing the love of gardening with others.  She co-founded 2 Flower Gardeners, where she designs, installs and maintains flower gardens.
